The Capacity Upgrading and Renovation Project of Rizhao Steel Holding Group Co., Ltd. is Phase‑II of Rizhao Steel’s capacity acceptance, upgrading and reconstruction works. By phasing out backward‑capacity facilities such as 530 m³ and 580 m³ blast furnaces, three large‑scale 3000 m³ blast furnaces will be constructed via capacity swap, which are scheduled to be put into operation in 2026.
Aiming to realize large‑sized blast furnaces and equipment upgrading, the project is expected to cut pollutant emissions by over 60% and reduce comprehensive energy consumption by 25% upon completion. The main body and utility auxiliary supporting works of N6# Blast Furnace cover the 3000 m³ blast furnace proper, medium pipelines, water system, electrical installation, main charging system and other facilities. Adopting energy‑saving and carbon‑reduction technologies including intelligent coal blending and high‑temperature flue‑gas circulation, the project is projected to achieve an annual CO₂ emission reduction of 1.2236 million tons and satisfy the requirements of “Five Reduction‑based Replacement”.
This project adopts pipe piles manufactured by Pinsheng Building Materials, including models PHC‑500‑100AB, 500‑120AB, 600‑110AB and 600‑130AB, with pile lengths ranging from 9 meters to 15 meters.
